Meet Diversity's Friends: Equity, Inclusion & Engagement
“Diversity” has too often been used as a buzzword in the business world to describe a company’s efforts to employ more people of color or more women. Unfortunately, this is where many organizations and their surrounding communities miss the boat--because diversity is so much more than just race or gender. The organizations and communities who are truly thriving under the umbrella of “diversity” understand that the effort is a journey, and that it must encompass the understanding and focus on equity, inclusion, and engagement. Without a holistic approach to diversity, organizations and communities will remain in the “buzzword” mentality, and will not experience the economic and social benefits of a thriving community designed for all people.

Anthony Arrington is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He received his BA in Communication Studies from The University of Iowa. He has over a decade of combined recruiting experience on college campuses and in boutique operations and large firms.
