Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skill Requirements: -Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment supervising a team or an Associate's Degree in a technical field required -Ability to manage people -High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and/or difficult -High level of oral and written communication skills -Ability to read blueprints -Must be able to operate hand tools; including air wrenches -Must be able to read part numbers and follow written assembly instructions Physical Requirements Physical Demands: -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally -Must be able to reach, push, pull, and climb over and under project -Ability to stand for 8 hours -Ability to climb ladders
Responsibilities:
Position Summary Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, this person will be responsible for leading, training, coaching, and assisting the assembly team to meet production goals. Primary Responsibilities: -Provide a leadership role in the implementation of department initiatives -Assist in the development of assembly/manufacturing processes in the assembly area -Communicate between departments to implement best practices, resolve problems and sustain consistent performance -Build and maintain good working relationships with employees and management -Provide environment which stimulates employee improvement and personal growth through communication, suggestions, development training plans, etc. -Support Continuous Improvement Technician and CICS Council initiatives -Promote safe work practices -Maintain awareness of quality standards -Maintain workplace organization -Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications -Maintain production equipment and machinery -Provide assistance in the production of products -Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits The tasks listed above are not intended to limit other tasks that might reasonably be assigned as necessary.
