IGL TeleConnect expands wireless service to Dickens and Terril
Monday, May 22, 2017
IGL TeleConnect, the area’s fastest growing internet service provider, has announced that it is now able to provide internet service in Dickens and Terril. The company is also expanding their footprint into Sioux Rapids with additional equipment and will erect another tower in Spencer to better serve the increasing demand in town.
The company has been strengthening its position in the local market over the last couple of years using wireless technology. This technology has been especially beneficial in rural areas around Spencer and northwest Iowa where wired technology isn’t always feasible. Less than one year ago, the company had announced its expansion into the Everly community and currently serves almost 1,800 households and businesses in Northwest Iowa and southern Minnesota.
“We invest quite a bit of time and capital into building the wireless infrastructure when we expand into a new area,” shared Operations Director Karli Kelley. “IGL TeleConnect understands that offering wireless internet helps rural communities as well as helps drive down costs of other providers in the area. It’s a win-win for all residents, whether they use our service or not. Providing affordable internet to rural communities is really at the heart of our mission.”
“We are proud to offer wireless internet for just $40 a month,” added Kelley. “We are known for our 5-star reviews on Facebook and are very proud of our customer service.”
IGL TeleConnect is a family-owned, Spencer-based company founded in 2012. The company provides internet service to the Iowa communities of Dickens, Everly, Milford, Lake Park, Superior, Langdon, Greenville, Gillett Grove, Webb, Linn Grove, Sioux Rapids, Terril and areas of Spencer, Okoboji, Arnolds Park, and Spirit Lake as well as some southern portions of Jackson and Nobles counties in MN.
