Green: the color of choice for industry these days

Going green is a wonderful idea, but it’s just too expensive for big business. Right? Wrong.

Sustainability, energy efficiency and LEED building design is no longer the domain of rich ex-hippies in California. Eco-friendly construction is now the affordable choice in the short run, and the cost-effective option for the long term.

As proof, the Iowa Lake Corridor Development Group suggests checking out the Spencer Shell Building in the Green Industrial Center in Spencer, Iowa. It’s a 40,000 sq. ft. example of reasonably priced, green construction. For more information, see here and
