Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services, counseling, or related area preferred but not required. Successful experience working with community organizations or agencies and with volunteers desired.



Responsibilities:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: This is a part-time position (15 hours per week) housed at the Iowa Lakes Community College Spencer Campus. Primary responsibilities are to recruit, train, and place volunteers with public agencies and non-profit organizations based on grant identified community priorities. Hours are somewhat flexible with very little evening or weekend work. This is a grant funded position.



Other Information:

Sedentary to light work. Position involves sitting most of the time with some local travel; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (10-33%). Stooping, crouching, pushing, and pulling occasionally (10-33%). Walking, lifting, carrying, and grasping frequently (34-66%). Talking, hearing, and viewing various types of close visual work constantly (67-100%). Required to travel occasionally utilizing personal vehicle. Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. National Service Criminal History Check approval is required before employment as per federal grant requirements. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
