Corridor announces resignation of Senior VP

Thursday, July 15, 2021

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) announced today that Senior Vice President and Entrepreneur-in-Residence Brian Dalziel is resigning from the organization effective at the end of the month.

“We want to thank Brian for his 11 years at the Corridor,” said Debra Satern, Corridor Board Chair. “He has cultivated the entrepreneurial atmosphere in the Corridor region and facilitated economic development through thoughtful programming and entrepreneurial and small business support. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Dalziel has been supporting entrepreneurs in the Corridor since he joined the organization in June of 2010. He is leaving to be closer to family and has accepted a position as the Vice President of Business Strategy for a technology company.

"I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve the entrepreneurs, investors and community stakeholders in the Corridor region these past 11 years,” Dalziel said. “I take with me memories of the personal relationships, struggles, triumphs and breakthroughs we accomplished together."

During Dalziel’s tenure, he has helped 111 companies start from scratch, served 269 clients and helped raise over $14.9 million in capital. When COVID-19 hit, he helped over 70 clients apply for relief funding. Dalziel has also assisted with and facilitated many innovative programs including Get A Lakes Life, Prepare to Launch, Startup Skillup and Match Learn Launch, and he acted as the managing director of Iowa Lakes Corridor Angel Network and Iowa Lakes Capital, LLC.

“The Corridor has been very fortunate to have an experienced entrepreneur and businessman assisting our small businesses for over a decade,” shared Corridor President and CEO Shannon Landauer. “Dalziel has set our region up for success, and the Corridor will continue to pursue a strong entrepreneurial atmosphere for our small businesses and startups.”

Dalziel’s last day at the Corridor will be July 30, but he will continue to support and transition some Corridor programs as a contractor through the end of the year.
