Fall Recreation

Autumn Boating

Festivals, good food, fun people, great entertainment and beautiful weather make Fall a favorite time of year for residents in the Iowa Lakes Corridor.

Boating, golfing, hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, and youth football are in full swing. Enjoy the great outdoors in the Iowa Lakes Corridor.

You can’t visit the Corridor region in the fall without attending ‘The World’s Best Fair,’ the Clay County Fair! This year, the fair will be held from Sept. 10-18. Enjoy live music at the Grandstand. Past performers have included Three Dog Night, Bret Michaels, Blake Shelton, Clay Aiken and more. Fill up on cheese curds, turkey legs, fried candy bars and smoothies. Send the kids to the Midway for games and rides, and check out the livestock exhibits, watch the rodeo and explore the commercial exhibits as well. The Clay County Fair is the largest county fair in Iowa, and has the second largest agricultural exposition in North America.
