Summer Recreation

Summer in the Iowa Lakes Corridor is jammed full of things to do, places to go and people to see.
There are many lakes and rivers to enjoy boating, canoeing or kayaking. Bring your bike because no matter where you are in the Iowa Lakes Corridor you are able to find a safe bike path that includes incredible scenery. Play a round of golf at one of more than 18 golf courses in the area or play mini-golf or a tennis match with friends or family. Take a long walk or jog along the lakes or on the more than 200 miles of trails. Pack up your picnic basket and enjoy a lunch in a shady park, on your boat, or while fishing.

This time of year offers a rollercoaster of fun, mini golf, go carts, and more at Arnolds Park Amusement Park, the Ranch Amusement Park, and Treasure Village. Round-up your friends for paint ball or sand volleyball, bring your skateboard to one of the skateparks or go for a swim in our clear, blue lakes.
Our communities have festivals, parades, car shows, regattas, races, or other events every weekend, so there’s always things to do. Contact the Chambers of Commerce for more details.
