Current Internship Opportunities
Naturalist Intern Position – Dickinson County Conservation Board
Description: Under the supervision of the E. E. Coordinator, the Naturalist Intern will work with the naturalists and assist with developing, coordinating, and implementing environmental education presentations and activities; create displays and visual aids; assist in updating different medias; help with animal care; work at the reception desk. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.
Qualifications: Applicants must be enrolled at a college working toward a degree in one of the following fields: elementary or secondary education; natural resources; wildlife biology; environmental education/interpretation; biology, ecology, or environmental studies. The applicant must also possess a current valid driver’s license and have the ability to get to and from the work-site.
Dates for employment: Position will begin mid-May and continue through mid-August. 12- 14 weeks. Pay: $10.00/hr, 40 hours a week.
