News Release
The third annual Innovation Pavilion will take place at the 2014 Clay County Fair. Sponsored by the Iowa Lakes Corridor, various companies will showcase their innovative products in the hopes of "making it big." The Innovation Pavilion is located approximately one block south of the Branding Iron.
“The Iowa Lakes Corridor Innovation Pavilion provides entrepreneurs and inventors an opportunity to get their products in front of over 310,000 pairs of eyes,” states Brian Dalziel, Senior Vice President of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. “It’s an opportunity for them to assess the quality of the market, to test price points, and to sell product and make money. It’s a way for them to help launch a start-up or to bring eyes on a new product of an existing, large industrial company.”
Participating companies include: Apex Firearms and Ammunition, Breezy Mills Wind Bubbler, Decker Bus, Krull's Creations, Polaris, Ultimate Conversion, United Technologies Cooperative and Wind and Solar Specialists.
The west portion of the Pavilion will highlight the Corridor's youth entrepreneur programs, including Junior Achievement, the Middle School Entrepreneurship Academy and the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute. Additionally, the Young Professionals Group of Northwest Iowa will be featured. The group is planning their monthly meeting at the Innovation Pavilion for Tuesday, September 9th. Last but not least, the Innovation Pavilion will exclusively showcase Polaris' new "Slingshot" motorcycle.
