Corridor Elects New Board Members and Officers
SPENCER— The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation announced new officers and members have been elected for fiscal year 2014-2015, beginning July 1st. The new officers include: Steve Pick, Chair, Spencer Municipal Utilities, Spencer; Val Newhouse, Vice Chair, Iowa Lakes Community College, Estherville; and Barry Sackett, Treasurer, Sackett Law Firm, Milford.
New board members were also elected onto the board starting July 1st. ILCDC’s new members include Jason Nelson, Polaris Industries, Milford; Russ Dierenfield, The Hillshire Brands, Storm Lake; and Penny Clayton, City of Estherville, Estherville. David Woodcock, Farmers Trust & Savings Bank, Spencer, was elected to a second three-year term.
“The new directors continue our emphasis to have CEO/Management level leadership, including industry, represented on the Corridor Board,” said Kathy Evert, president and CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. Outgoing board members who have served the past six years are Pat Reno of Ranco Fertiservice in Sioux Rapids, Larry Anderson, Estherville City Council, and Brad Simington, Farmers Savings Bank, Milford. “These outgoing board members will be recognized Wednesday, August 20th at the Little Swan Lake Winery north of Superior, Iowa; we will also distribute the FY 2014 annual report at that time,” said Evert.
The twelve-member board of directors also includes Dick Drahota, Storm Lake; Kent Stensland, Bank Midwest, Spirit Lake; Fred Moore, Buena Vista University, Storm Lake; Bill Bumgarner, Spencer Hospital, Spencer; and Rick Olesen, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative; Estherville.
