College for Veterans
5 Oct 2015
Since 2001, over one million veterans have attended college with the help of the GI Bill. The GI Bill helped veterans pay for an education that allows them to be more equipped and prepared for returning to the workforce after years dedicated to a particular skillset.
But going to college can be jarring. The environment of a college campus is filled with students who are, on average, younger than most veterans. Within the Home Base Iowa community is Emmet County and Iowa Lakes Community College. Iowa Lakes Community College is committed to providing a comfortable environment, a top-notch education, and assistance with finding local work after graduation.
