Build from the Ground Up

18 Nov 2015

Regardless of where the phrase, “Build from the ground up” originated, Iowa Lakes Corridor likes to take this approach at developing the economy throughout the Corridor region. One of their most effective methods of developing is by providing an excellent education, creating a skilled workforce prepared to build and maintain successful businesses and communities.

One such program provided by the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is Manufacturing 101. In conjunction with IowaWORKS, Spencer High School, and Iowa Lakes Community College, Manufacturing 101 helps to provide individuals with the needed manufacturing, safety, human relations, and career skills for entering the field of manufacturing. With thousands of jobs in the manufacturing industry, this program helps provide a skilled workforce ready for a demanding and growing field.
