Soft Skills
3 Feb 2016
One of the most stressful transitions in life is the one between college and the professional world. Research suggests that over 60% of employers believe that college candidates lack soft skills, such as communication and interpersonal skills.
The colleges of Iowa Lakes Corridor are looking to lower this number. One approach is the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute in the Corridor region. Created in 2006, the program provides a weeklong simulation and classroom training for college students.
Iowa Lakes CDC aims to have an employable, skilled workforce, starting with the present, and working through the future.
