On June 2, representatives of the Okoboji Foundation grant committee and nonprofit recipients celebrated awards of $204,630 to make a lasting positive impact in the Lakes Community.
"The primary focus of improvement on Monument Drive is a new drainage system recognized by USEPA as a best practice for storm water infiltration for runoff into West Lake Okoboji," Arnolds Park Mayor Jim Hussong said. "It will be used as a demonstration site for low impact development to protect the water quality of our lakes. In addition, the $65,000 grant from the Okoboji Foundation allows us to make applications for other grants to support this project."
