GKN Armstrong Wheels recognized as Platinum Level Caterpillar supplier

Employees at the GKN Armstrong Wheels plant in Estherville on Tuesday morning celebrated receiving the Caterpillar (CAT) Platinum Award, which recognizes Caterpillar suppliers for their superior quality, delivery and support.
CAT is one of GKN's largest customers. Only a select number of CAT's suppliers from around the globe reach platinum-level certification.
The Caterpillar leadership team presented the award.
The platinum level reflects zero defective parts and 98 percent on time delivery to all CAT locations over the past 12 months.
The award places Iowa plants (located in Armstrong and Estherville) in the top 5 percent of CAT's 6,000 suppliers.
