From unemployable to entrepreneur
26 Dec 2016
Is it true that entrepreneurs are just people who couldn’t get jobs, so they had to start their own companies? That’s actually true for Soichiro Honda, who founded Honda Motor Company. He couldn’t get a job with Toyota. And the rest is history.
The Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute is helping students from Iowa colleges start businesses. Located at the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory on West Lake Okoboji, the annual gathering takes them through a startup simulation, offers networking with local leads and business owners and provides practical help in seminars.
The goal is to spur new business and encourage budding entrepreneurs to choose the Iowa Lakes area for their companies. Here is more information about the program: http://ow.ly/PdKA303FfwR.
