Community Housing Initiatives shows off new Southern Pointe Apartments in Spencer

One of the latest housing developments in Spencer is being celebrated as a perfect example of how a private-public partnership can work to create housing opportunities in rural areas.
On Wednesday, Community Housing Initiatives showed Southern Pointe Apartments, 902 13th Street SW, to the development's supporters and partners.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation was there to catch a glimpse and learn more about the project.
Southern Pointe Apartments features three- and four-bedroom apartments and townhomes. Most are income-based, but there are a limited number of market rate units available.
