Spine surgeon relocates to Northwest Iowa

Experienced spine specialist Dr. Daniel J. McGuire has relocated his practice, Iowa Spine Care PLC, to northwest Iowa. Associated with Northwest Iowa Bone, Joint and Sports Surgeons, Dr. McGuire sees patients in Spencer, Spirit Lake and Storm Lake, with his primary office located on the Spencer Hospital campus.

“My practice focuses on providing care for patients who have spine health issues, from evaluation and education to various forms of treatment, including surgery, when necessary,” Dr. McGuire explained. Some common concerns Dr. McGuire may treat include disc herniation, fractures, and scoliosis

“My practice has been located for nearly 30 years in central Iowa,” Dr. McGuire commented, “Yet when an opportunity arose to relocate to northwest Iowa, I decided to relocate my practice here. Our family enjoys spending time in this region so it’s a good fit to make this area our full-time residence.”

Dr. McGuire completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Louis University and a spine fellowship at SUI School of Medicine. After 26 years of practice in Des Moines, Iowa Spine Care officially opened its Spencer office on Sept. 1.
