It’s the magic circle that keeps economies booming: areas with higher education available attract students who learn in-demand skills. Companies hire these grads, whose training make for a proficient, up-to-date workforce that helps businesses grow and prosper.

The Lakes Corridor region is part of this charmed circle. It is home to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. Iowa Lakes Community College, with campuses in Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake, has programs in technology, engineering, math, and a range of industries.
