Music on the brain
6 Feb 2017
Neuroscientists say people who listen to music work smarter. Employees are more productive and in a better mood.
That’s not all. Music stimulates an increase in dopamine, which is also the source of a runner’s high. To think, you can get it without the sweat! Music also stimulates the production of oxytocin, which helps us as humans to bond and trust.
Maybe that’s why the Okoboji Summer Concert Series at Arnolds Park is so popular every year. The lineup changes annually, encompassing big band music, folk, rock, jazz, blues, jam and national artists. For a look at past summer concerts, check out this site: http://ow.ly/GHcI303FlmB.
