People who have been in the military accomplish the tasks they are given. That’s the most outstanding benefit companies notice when they hire a vet. These are people who have been thoroughly trained in a “get it done” culture.
In the military, the vets are taking on responsibility at ages 19, 20 and 21 and immediately start developing leadership skills. Because there are serious repercussions from their decisions, they learn to take their responsibilities seriously.
