Latin American Cafe delivers diverse dining

The space at 710 Central Ave. in Estherville has had a few issues with past owners opening or staying open. This time, the grill is sizzling, the oven baking, and the service is friendly with manager Oliver Mejia wrangling the front of house.
A multi-page menu describes Mexican offerings from tacos to fried ice cream, with a long list of lunch specials.
Choripollo is a specialty with grilled chicken and chorizo, a type of pork sausage in Latin cultures, prepared in a method used since Roman times. It's made in the western hemisphere with native chili peppers and a splash of white vinegar.
