BVU to host entrepreneurship networking panel

Buena Vista University will be hosting an “Entrepreneurial Keys to Success” networking panel for local entrepreneurs and professionals to gather and learn more about what it takes to be a successful business owner. The free event will take place on Saturday, April 22 in the Harold Walter Siebens Forum at 10am.

The event is aimed at promoting local entrepreneurial relationships between the community and Buena Vista University. Research indicates owning and managing a business in rural Iowa has very different challenges when compared to urban businesses. Business growth in rural areas, such as northwest Iowa, has diminished and some areas are now experiencing economic loss.

Yet, there are resources available in communities such as ours to assist local entrepreneurs. A key method to creating an entrepreneurial environment is by establishing a network of local entrepreneurs that share ideas and learn from each other.
