Lake Animal Hospital — more than just a vet clinic

Lake Animal Hospital is not just a vets office but a safe haven for animals in need. Whether it be for routine care or emergency care, vets Dr. Dianne Johnson, DVM and Dr. Chris Bean, DVM are there to help our furry little friends.
Dr. Dianne Johnson has years of experience as a veterinarian. She grew up on a farm with a love of animals. She attended Buena Vista University before going to Ames to complete her vet training. She worked at a vet clinic near Sloan for 8 years. She then took a position in 1998 at the Lake Animal Hospital under the direction of Dr. Stepan part time.
When he retired in May of 2016, she purchased the business. Dianne resides in Storm Lake with her husband Jerry who is a professor at BVU. She has two children Darren, age 28 and Emily age 22.
