Less maintenance with a new home
15 May 2017
In the market for a new home? You have a choice, new construction or a home with a history. An old Victorian might look charming, but for many families, a new home wins out hands down.
Maintenance costs can be sky high with an older home, even one built mid-century. Whether doing your own labor or hiring someone, the cost can be heavy. With new construction, maintenance isn’t an issue. Everything is new! If it doesn’t work, get it fixed under warranty. With a newly built home, you also get the latest appliances with the highest energy efficiency ratings, and lowest energy bills.
Purchasers in the Spencer area are in luck. With the Spencer Quality Housing Initiative Grant, buyers of new homes can get up to $15,000 toward new construction in the City of Spencer.
