Working Together to Grow a Region
24 Jul 2017
Many rural areas of the country face tough economic times. The ones that make the most headway have formed collaborative groups. Working together, they can raise awareness, innovate and get companies interested in moving to the region, spurring jobs and the marketplace.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, ILCDC, is one of the most successful Midwest groups. Since 1992, it has promoted and sparked economic opportunity in the four-county area of Clay, Dickinson, Emmet and Buena Vista. In recognition, it was presented with the Silver Shovel award from the Iowa Area Development Group.
