Clay County Fair, Jobs

You could be nurse pretty much anywhere. You could work in a manufacturing plant just about anywhere. And you could find a career in agriculture in many places, too.

But why not explore one of those or many other opportunities in northwest Iowa, where you'll find a combination of recreational and outdoor activities that you can't find in just any place? We're talking about the lakes life - and we want to share it.

At this year's Centennial Clay County Fair, Sept. 9-17, the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is bringing those opportunities to light with the Northwest Iowa Opportunities Hub.

The Opportunities Hub, in partnership with Iowa Lakes Community College and IowaWORKS, will feature an interactive heavy equipment simulator that lets visitors get behind the realistic controls of vehicles and machinery used at construction and excavation sites.

Along with the simulator will be employers sharing opportunities for visitors to learn more about. These employers have job openings and career possibilities for you to take advantage of and get a lakes life.

We'll be at the fair all day, every day.

Look for more information in Clay County Fair brochures in Spencer and throughout the Corridor region. More info on the Opportunities Hub and how you can get a lakes life will be posted on this website in the coming weeks.

The Northwest Iowa Opportunities Hub is part of the Corridor's Five by Five campaign, an initiatuve to increase our four-county region's population by five percent in five years.
