County fairs give residents a chance to step back to a slower time, when people made their own entertainment. These fairs contribute to the local economy, but experts say their biggest benefit is community building.

Calling itself the World’s Greatest County Fair, it is on a mission to present entertainment, competitions and exhibits, all with a family-friendly atmosphere.
