Area business owners are invited to learn how they can make their stores, shops and service areas more accessible to persons with disabilities and the general public at a community event featuring Michele S. Ohmes, ADA specialist, consultant, trainer and author.

Ohmes will be presenting "Let's Get Practical" on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church Parish Hall, located at 1111 4th Ave. W. in Spencer.

Ohmes will share how business owners and managers can make easy, economical revisions to their businesses or facilities to become more accessible. She'll also help attendees learn how to be more comfortable with interacting with persons with disabilities.

For more information, contact Janee at Spencer City Hall, 712-580-7200, or reach out to the Spencer ADA Council on Facebook.
