Press Release

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is pleased to welcome Alyssa Kragelund to their team. Originally from Anita, Iowa and a 2018 graduate of Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Kragelund will be the new Coordinator of Administration and Communication for the Corridor. Throughout her time at Buena Vista, Alyssa was able to study marketing and accounting, as well as obtain a minor in vocal music performance.

She first began to learn about the Corridor last summer. “I was a part of the Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute in 2017, so I got to know the Corridor through that, and then Kiley Miller taught an entrepreneurship class that I was in at BVU last semester,” Kragelund said. “I talked to him about job opportunities in the Corridor area, and he eventually came to me with this opening.”

“Alyssa has a great skill set developed at a great college,” said Kiley Miller, President and CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor. “She has stepped in and immediately begun helping us achieve the Corridor goals of enhancing the local economy and improving the quality of life for families.”

When asked how she felt about her new position, Kragelund said, “I’m excited to be able to use both of my majors that I received at BVU while helping the Corridor in its endeavors.”

You can contact Alyssa at the Iowa Lakes Corridor office at (712) 264-3474 or by emailing her at akragelund@lakescorridor.com.
