Corridor Business & Industry Update

During these last several months everyone has felt the direct impact of COVID-19. ???????The ??????????????challenges have been great for business/industries in the Iowa Lakes Corridor region. Many employers are deemed "essential" and are implementing important measures to protect the safety and well-being of their employees. In my role as Business Retention and Workforce Partnership Coordinator for the Corridor, I have been reaching out to employers to assess their needs and offer assistance. This has shown me yet again the power of the Corridor network and the willingness of businesses here in Northwest Iowa to help one another. Our team has been successful in securing much needed hand sanitizer, additional production of cloth face masks and face shields and several different options for thermometers. Some positives that we have seen during these challenging times are additional safety regulations implemented, new partnerships being built between businesses and new production opportunities for businesses.
