Marketing assistance available for small businesses in the Iowa Lakes Corridor
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) and Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission announce a small business marketing assistance program available to businesses in the Iowa Lakes Corridor region of Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson and Emmet counties.
The Corridor COVID-19 Small Business Marketing Assistance program is a competitive funding program that assists regional businesses with recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. The program is funded through a grant from the US Department of Commerce.
“This collaboration project is a great opportunity for businesses to update their online presence as they continue to seek new markets, bring new products to market and expand their e-commerce activity,” said Corridor President & CEO Shannon Landauer. “The funds provided can help to update and expand online presence for businesses within the region to market and sell online.”
Matching funds up to $1,000 are available. The match requirement is one-half the total amount of the award. For example, a business receiving $1,000 would be required to provide a $500 match. The funds will go toward half- or full-day creative service packages with F8 Creative. Service package options include video production, photography, branding services or a combination of these items.
Primary objectives are to aid businesses in enhancing their online presence, developing new brand or marketing materials, or capturing quality video production. Particular emphasis will be placed on improving the availability of sales online.
A limited amount of funding is available. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and funds awarded until all funds are exhausted. Measures may be taken to ensure that funds are distributed across all four counties and that a variety of businesses are represented among the recipients.
