Shannon Landauer, CEcD, is the President & CEO of Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. She is leading the organization forward by focussing on key initiatives that will make the greatest impact on the region. “It is important to operate strategically. As an organization, we will have the greatest impact by listening to the needs of our community members and working diligently to solve challenges, while improving the quality of life for everyone. We do so by growing our economy - something our organization is actively working to do,” said Landauer. “I invite business owners, leaders and community members to engage with us and to become part of the process. We provide direct support to businesses. Simultaneously, when businesses and leaders partner with us, we can accomplish more for our region.”
About Shannon Landauer, CEcD
With more than a decade’s experience in economic development, Shannon Landauer is an accomplished professional who consistently demonstrates strong leadership attributes and dedication to the industry.
Landauer got her start in economic development at the Boone County Development Agency in Albion, Nebraska. During her tenure, she served as Administrative Assistant and then Executive Director. She then served as the Executive Director for both the Carroll Area Development Corporation and the Carroll Chamber of Commerce for seven years before joining the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation as the President and CEO. In this role, she leads a professional team in business retention & expansion, attraction, and transition; entrepreneurship; workforce; and housing development. Additionally, the team provides support for community projects within the region.
Currently, Landauer is the President of Professional Developers of Iowa, a member of the Iowa Rural Development Council, Empower Rural Iowa Grow Task Force, Iowa Department of Transportation’s Automated Transportation Advisory Council, Heartland Economic Development Course Faculty, and various local boards and committees. In 2017, she earned her Certified Economic Developer Designation from the International Economic Development Council.
