The Iowa Lakes Corridor utilizes the BEST of Iowa survey, which stands for Business Expansion & Strategic Trends. BEST of Iowa is a statewide business retention and expansion program, which is a collaborative effort between local economic developers, Alliant Energy, Black Hills Energy, Iowa Area Development Group and the Iowa Economic Development Authority.

How to be part of the BEST of Iowa Program

Joanne Follon is the Iowa Lakes Corridor's Business Retention and Workforce Partnership Coordinator. She conducts interviews with employers in the area using the Synchronist PRIME® software system and collects data that is aggregated and then analyzed by local and regional users to find statewide or regional trends. This data is benchmarked with national data collected.
