Responsibilities
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The part-time (27.5 hrs/week) Lab Assistant is responsible for assisting science faculty with lab set-up, operation, inventory, supply acquisition, and maintenance for courses as defined by the College. Position is based on the Estherville Campus with coverage on all campuses. Position will include fall, spring, and summer semesters and include some weekend hours. May be required to travel between sites utilizing personal vehicle. Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: AS Degree in science field or AA Degree with science concentration required. Successful completion of 4-college science courses with labs (16.0 credit hours minimum). Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work well with students and faculty. Must have ability to work with chemicals and equipment in labs. Previous experience working in a college science lab preferred.
