Work Environment and Working Conditions:
Work will normally be performed inside our facility. The work environment is causal and self- paced as we produce batches of different products rather than the traditional fast paced production line. Team Members may be subjected to hazards associated with chemical manufacturing such as burns, cuts, electrical, and mechanical. Due to the nature of the work, team members may be exposed to fumes and odors. For the safety of our team members, you may be required to wear protective devices from time to time, depending on the job/task being performed.  We provide all personal protective equipment.

Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., walking, standing, bending, reaching, dexterity and light grasping, climbing stairs, squatting, and firmly grasping.  It is expected that Team Members will maintain attendance standards. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the candidate to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. Team Members must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer, fork lifts, or other work tools.

Responsibilities

Expectations:

Full time, 40 hours per week Monday- Friday 7:00a-3:30p. Must be reliable and punctual as well as able to perform physical tasks that may be repetitive. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis and have great attention for detail without being closely observed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be able to work by yourself at times following a recipe card in making batches at your pace.
  • Take inventory of raw materials and compare against minimum levels to determine ordering needs.
  • Inventory stocked goods to determine production needs against customer orders and Min/Max quantities.
  • Utilize computer for creating work orders, shipping software, sending email, plus MS Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe.
  • Look to prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Perform functional QA checks.
  • Make efforts to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Complete packaging tasks such as box assembly, labeling buckets/drums, wrapping, packing, and taping.
  • Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions.
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with all team members to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate positive and professional attitude and be able to work overtime as needed.
  • General cleaning and maintenance of work space.
  • Familiar with fork lift operations is preferred but not required (we provide training).
  • Basic math skills (basic algebra, ratios, proportions, etc.).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 12+ months working in industrial production environment preferred, but not required
  • 3+ months managing inventories and working around chemicals preferred
