Wind Energy Plant Operations and Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
An eligible candidate must have experience working at heights and GE turbine O&M experience preferred with lead technician experience desired. Candidate must be able to perform all necessary operations and maintenance activities for the Cooperative’s two wind energy production facilities, each consisting of seven GE 1.5 mw SLE ESS wind turbines. All candidates must possess strong interpersonal communications, math and PC skills, with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft office programs, GE Software experience a plus. Successful candidate will need to work well in a team environment and be willing to cross-train into electrical distribution applications. The Wind Turbine Technician will report to the Manager of Renewable Energy Services.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Candidate must have completed an accredited college or technical program in Wind Energy and Turbine Technology. A minimum of two to four years of experience is preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment drug test is required. Candidate must reside in close proximity to Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative’s headquarters in Estherville, Iowa.
