Iowa Lakes Corridor announces resignation of Chief Executive Officer
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) today announced that President & Chief Executive Officer Shannon Landauer is resigning from the organization effective June 9, 2023.
“On behalf of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Board of Directors, I’d like to thank Shannon for her work over the last two years,” said Corridor Board Chair Brad Beck. “There has been a lot of forward progress in the region, and we’re grateful for Shannon’s leadership.”
The Corridor provides professional economic development services for Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson and Emmet counties. Landauer joined the organization in July 2021.
Since her arrival, Landauer led a brand and website redesign for the Corridor, facilitated community and business tours for staff and community leaders and supported numerous projects for business attraction, expansions, startups, housing and more. She was also awarded the Economic Development 40 Under 40 award in February 2023 by the Development Counsellors International and Jorgenson Consulting.
“My time at the Iowa Lakes Corridor has been a wonderful experience,” shared Landauer. “Having the opportunity to work with so many businesses and community leaders has demonstrated how successful rural economic development partnerships can be. The Corridor region is full of opportunity for growth in the coming years!”
“The Corridor Board has begun the search for a new CEO,” explained Beck. “In the meantime, the board will support our highly qualified staff to continue their work to assist our communities and the various projects and development across the region.”
