Grand Central Coffee Station opened in Storm Lake over 20 years ago. Owners John and Karen Keenan returned to Storm Lake after a number of years in Seattle, Washington where they learned firsthand about the coffee craze. When they moved back to their hometown of Storm Lake, they decided to open Grand Central Coffee Station.

“We decided to bring our kids back to grandma and grandpa and their cousins, and let them grow up in a smaller community that we were familiar with. We take a lot of pride in Storm Lake and the people in Storm Lake…”

Their menu includes a variety of coffee and espresso drinks in addition to cookies, pastries, grilled panini sandwiches, homemade soup, specialty salads, hot breakfast options, and more. They grew from one location in downtown Storm Lake and added a second location across from King’s Pointe Waterpark after a few years. With patio seating and an extended menu that includes beer and wine, it’s a great spot to grab a drink and hang out with family or friends with a view of the lake!

“We try really hard to make things really fresh. We make anything we can from scratch.”

As we move into the summer months, Grand Central’s east location (across from King’s Pointe) extends hours, and it’s perfect time to enjoy the patio outside. Make sure to follow them on Facebook or Instagram, and stop by next time you’re in Storm Lake!
