General Production

Qualifications

The general production employee is responsible for the daily processing of products. The following list of responsibilities is not meant to be all inclusive as specific job duties may change. Equipment: - After required training general employees may be required to complete some or all of the following tasks daily or when needed; forklift/pallet jack, box strapper, dumpers, metal detectors, knife use, 2-way radios, thermometers, knives, grinders, mixers, and electric conveyors. Physical Demands: - Must be able to verbally understand and execute work instructions. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and ascending/descending stairs. - The employee may regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 70 pounds. - Specific visual abilities required by this job may also include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. - Fill out required processing, quality, and/or maintenance documents. Work Environment: - Exposures to temperature of an average of 28 to 28 degrees depending on the work assignment. - Employee may encounter wet floors and/or damp areas. - Employee will encounter meat products including blood/fat pieces. Safety: - Employee is required to follow all safety rules in place at the time of employment and encouraged to inform management of any perceived safety deficiencies.
