Iowa Lakes Corridor announces 2021 Business Recognition Award winners
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) once again recognized great achievements by local businesses Friday at the organization’s 11th Annual Business Recognition Luncheon at The Waterfront in Arnolds Park. Winners of this year’s Business Recognition awards are:
•Young Professional of the Year – Dr. Megan Sullivan, Vision Care Associates, Storm Lake
•Entrepreneur of the Year – Andrew Spurgin, Estherville Pharmacy, Estherville
•Small Business Excellence – Delicias Super Market, Storm Lake
•Large Business Excellence – Northwest Bank, Spencer
Kent Stensland of Bank Midwest, John Tatman of DEMCO Products and Mike Wodtke of moveero, Inc. were honored for their years of service on the Corridor board.
“Today was a great day for the Corridor to celebrate successes, look to the future, and connect with our partners,” said Corridor President & CEO Shannon Landauer. “Director Durham always brings an energy and motivation to keep charging forward with our economic development efforts across the region. We offer our sincere congratulations to the winners and appreciate their contributions to their respective communities!”
Nominations for the annual Business Recognition awards are made by area business leaders and community members. These nominations are then reviewed by a volunteer committee drawn from across the region and are evaluated based on commitment, impact and growth in Corridor communities.
Recipients accepted their awards Friday in front of a large gathering of over 150 community representatives and leaders. The Business Recognition Luncheon also featured Director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority Debi Durham.
