Ida Grove, IA, USA – GOMACO Corporation is proud to announce the purchase of all assets of Godbersen Metal Works (GMetal) in Spencer, Iowa, effective Monday, March 31, 2025. The purchase includes the GMetal facility, equipment and land, with GOMACO offering employment to and retaining current employees.

GOMACO has been looking to add additional equipment, processes and trained staffing, and had worked with GMetal on other welding and fabrication projects. The purchase allows GOMACO to expand their production and manufacturing capacity to further meet the increased demand of the global market for slipform concrete construction equipment.

Currently 15 people are employed at the GMetal facility in Spencer. GMetal was a contract manufacturer that offered solutions for OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturer). They provided laser cutting, bending, welding, assembly, a powder-coat paint line, and other manufacturing specialty services.
