Responsibilities
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The instructor is responsible for teaching a full-time assignment of classes on the Emmetsburg Campus as defined by the College. This may include teaching high school students enrolled in college courses. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with College and division policies and procedures. Courses taught by the instructor will vary depending on education and experience. May be required to travel between sites utilizing personal vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years (6,000 hours) of recent, relevant experience in the field of instruction to be taught, or 3,000 hours of recent, relevant experience and possess an associate or bachelor’s degree in the field of instruction. Working knowledge of livestock production or agribusiness is desired. Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred. Three years of experience in an agriculture-related occupation and bachelor’s degree preferred. Preference given for teaching experience and a master’s degree.
