Student Health & Wellness Coordinator

Buena Vista University is seeking a Student Health & Wellness Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center and support student wellbeing through outreach, education, and access to care. This role plays an important part in helping students stay healthy, feel supported, and succeed during their time at BVU.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help ensure students can easily access health and wellness resources through the Wellness Center, campus health staff, and telehealth services. You’ll keep operations running smoothly while also building relationships with students and creating a welcoming, supportive environment. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys both structure and connection and values being both organized and connecting with students. If you’re passionate about promoting wellness and enjoy planning and working collaboratively, this role offers the opportunity to build experience and make a meaningful impact. This is a 10-month position (August–May) with limited summer responsibilities, including participation in June orientation days and occasional remote support in July.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; background in public health, student affairs, human services, or related fields especially helpful, but candidates from other fields with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. A clinical background such as a Registered Nurse (RN) or other healthcare credentials is welcomed but not required. Experience coordinating programs, services, or operations, ideally in healthcare, wellness, or higher education Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Collaborative approach and ability to build positive working relationships Clear communication skills and a student-centered mindset Comfort using technology and learning new systems
