Project Design & Development Lead
Description
Responsible for the creation, design and refinement of new product concepts from idea through launch. This role is responsible for designing components and assemblies in SolidWorks, rapid prototyping concepts using 3D printing, and conducting functional testing to validate performance, durability, and manufacturability.
This role will work cross-functionally to support new product launch strategy, including design for manufacturing, cost considerations, and production readiness.
Key responsibilities include developing detailed CAD models and drawings, managing in-house prototyping workflows, executing and documenting test plans, and collaborating on go-to-market execution. This position plays a critical role in ensuring new products meet performance expectations while aligning with brand standards and business objectives.
Start Date: June 1st, 2026
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Creation of 5-10 new project plans from ideation to product launch per year
- Design new projects from idea to Solid Models, a copy in SolidWorks is required
- Assemble and test prototypes and make necessary change
- Make prototypes out of 3D printed and metal parts
- Functional testing to validate performance, durability and manufacturability
- Complete projects by deadlines set on Product Design and Development sheets
- Good Attitude
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Required:
- Completion of project in the timeline set in the Product Design and Development Sheets
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
