Job Description The Mau Marine and The Okoboji Store accounting group is looking for a fun accountant to join our team. This position will support Mau Marine and The Okoboji Store with cash handling and general accounting duties. This role is a great role for someone who is excited about supporting two dynamic companies. Responsibilities: Daily Reconciliation -Cash handling and reconciling for operations -Produce daily reports & record activity in general ledger -Monitor discounts and comps for appropriate approvals Accounts Payable and Receivable -Confirm accounts payables are approved and paid in a timely manner in the appropriate periods -Ensure proper invoice coding to record expenses in appropriate accounts -Maintain proper funding for payables function -Accept Credit Card Payments via the phone and post in respective area General Accounting -Sales Tax filing and remittance -Record month end journal entries and assist in reconciliation as needed -Expense tracking for intercompany and marketing Operations and Reporting -Credit card Dispute resolution support as needed -Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports -Point of sale system support -Department and Bank Runs
