Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as our Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting safety in the workplace and a proven track record of success in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive safety program. Responsibilities include: *Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program that complies with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. *Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and assessments to identify and eliminate potential hazards. *Develop and deliver safety training to all employees. *Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses as well as recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents. *Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training. *Stay current with regulatory developments and acquire industry specific expertise. *Develop and maintain effective working relationships with across all levels of of the company. *Be able to travel periodically to our satellite locations and available after normal business hours in case of emergency.
Qualifications
*Strong knowledge of OSHA standards as well as DOT/FMCSA regulations. *5 or more years experience successfully leading safety in a manufacturing environment. *Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. *Valid driver's license with a good driving record. *Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including Office, Excel and Powerpoint. *Knowledge of EPA standards a plus but not required. *Bachelor's Degree in environmental health and safety or related field is not required, but preferred.
