Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Team Lead, the Material Handler will assist in moving materials into production lines and supporting machine operation throughout the department.
- Stage material for department roll forming and production lines so that there is minimal down time between production runs.
- Ensure that the coil warehouse is maintained, organized, and safe.
- Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, shelves, etc. by hand and with a forklift.
- Train to be a cross functional machine operator to fill work orders when needed.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or GED is required. Work well in a team environment and be willing to assist peers whenever necessary. Previous forklift experience desired; or, ability to obtain OSHA required Forklift Certification within 1 week.
