We offer a guaranteed starting wage of $21.47/Hr. along with night shift and weekend shift differentials, scheduled increases, and a complete benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401K, and so much more!

Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00am (midnight) - 8:00am

Areas of Accountability

Plant Operators are responsible for operating processes and equipment in a safe, clean, effective manner to ensure the production of high-quality products while meeting all regulatory compliance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives
  • Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including safety, environmental, and food/feed safety
  • Operate all facility equipment and processes in area(s) of responsibility
  • Operate facility equipment autonomously while maintaining good communication with supervisors and support teams
  • Perform quality control tests on finished product and make adjustments to equipment to meet product standards
  • Monitor and document process equipment and adjust the flow of production to maintain production standards
  • Perform basic operator troubleshooting and repair of equipment and request assistance from shift supervisor and maintenance for more complex care
  • Maintain clean work environment to ensure safety and product quality
  • Communicate any accidents, threats, downtime, or cost-saving measures to the shift supervisor
  • Assist other production and maintenance personnel as needed or requested
  • Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description.
  • Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food/feed production a plus
  • Experience operating a bobcat and forklift preferred
  • Understand and operate basic computer systems Lift 30 pounds repeatedly
  • Occasionally push and/or pull heavy objects
  • Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. from floor to waist level
  • Frequently bend at the waist and/or knees
  • Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders (up to 40 ft.)
  • Frequently sit/drive for extended time periods
  • Ability to work evening/night shifts as required
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
